Seven Crucial Easy Ab Exercise Guidelines!
Do each of the six exercises (demonstrations just below), following these 7 crucial guidelines.

1. Three sets of 15 repetitions for each exercise.
2. Perform each exercise slowly and carefully, never sacrifice technique just to get it over with quickly.
3. Focus your mind totally on the muscle or area that you are working on.
4. Tighten your abs during each exercise - it gives an amazing result when done regularly.
5. Don't lock your joints, elbow or knee, keep them slightly soft, this protects them.
6. Drink plenty of water before, during and after exercise.
7. Be tough, be strong and be determined!!

Maybe you can't complete 15 reps now, but you will as your fitness improves. If you feel pain and discomfort (other than the effort you're making!!) stop, if you injure yourself you won't be able to do your workout next time.


Demonstrations Follow...Sorry it's a guy showing you, please go slower than "Guy"...

1. Slow Crunch - Fabulous Flat Stomach!
Instructions:
1. Start position: Lie back on the floor or bench with knees bent and hands behind your head just like Guy. Keep elbows back and out of sight. Head should be in a neutral position, try looking straight up, it helps keep your head in the correct position.
2. Leading with the chin and chest towards the ceiling, contract the abdominal and raise shoulders off floor or bench.
3. Return to start position. 15 repetitions, rest for 30 seconds between the next two sets of 15.
Remember to keep head and back in a neutral position. Hyperextension or flexion of either may cause injury.


2. Slow Side Crunch - Fabulous Slim Waist!
Instructions:
1) Lie with your back on a floor or bench with knees bent.
2) Let your knees fall to the right so that your hips are slightly rotated.
3) Leading with the chin and left shoulder, contract abdominal muscles and raise left shoulder off floor or bench towards left knee. Look upwards, as it helps keep your head in the right position.
4) Return to position in Step 2. Repeat (15 times) with other side. Rest for 30 seconds between the last two sets.
5) Remember to keep head and neck in neutral position throughout movement. Do not twist excessively - your elbow does not need to touch knee.
