Mesotherapy...
Does It Really Melt Cellulite?

Jump Down To Side-Effects

Mesotherapy... multiple injections
into your fat to get rid of it!

Would mesotherapy help to shift this cellulite? Can this be true, does it really work?

The only way you can know for sure, is to give it a try yourself. Also, some things may work for me but they may not work for you, and vice-versa.

I haven't tried this so I don't know, but the bottom line is, there are no guarantees.

What I do know is that your cellulite is definitely reduced if you clean up your diet, do some exercise and reduce your weight.

Although this isn't the total answer for a lot of people, it is certainly a great plan that has an immediate impact on your health and your fabulous butt!

So, How Does It Work?

Mesotherapy cellulite reduction is a treatment that uses multiple injections of plant extracts, vitamins, pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, as well as other ingredients, into your subcutaneous fat, with the goal of 'melting' your cellulite away.

Subcutaneous fat just beneath the skin...Subcutaneous fat is the fat which lies just beneath your skin.

Very Technical But Interesting Explanation
The theory is that the ingredients in the injections directly target the fat cells, they then induce lipolysis, rupture and cell death among fat cells.

Fat cells are technically known as adipocytes...

...and what is lipolysis? It's the hydrolysis of fats into fatty acids and glycerol, as by lipase...

...and what is hydrolisis? It's the chemical decomposition in which a compound is split into other compounds by reacting with water...

...and what is lipase? Well, lipase refers to a (particular) group of enzymes that break down fats. These particular enzymes FabulousButt Red Alert!are produced by the liver, pancreas, and some other digestive organs, or they're produced by certain plants.

Put Very Simply
The ingredients in the injections break the individual fat cells down in a very targeted manner. Of course it isn't quite that simple, but that is the effect, and what you see (apparently) is your new fabulous butt!

Mesotherapy is also used to rejuvenate skin and different ingredients in the injections are customised for each client and each specific purpose.

So Where Did It All Start?
Mesotherapy cellulite reduction originated in France in the early 1950's and has now spread around the world.

There are just over 15,000 physicians in France alone who use the technique with no evidence (so far) of any long-term negative effects.

Quick & Painless?

Once your physician has assessed what you need done they will schedule (on average) 10 weekly or fortnightly sessions, however some people need as many as 25-30 sessions to eliminate all of their cellulite.

Yes, that's right, you get to be injected more than once. On average each treatment takes about 45 minutes and involves injecting different areas with different formulas.

FabulousOuch Alert! There are also different types of injection techniques as apparently there are different types of cellulite.

However, while the injections may be uncomfortable, there have been no reported deaths from Mesotherapy - cheery thought isn't it?

Are There Any Side Effects
Yes there are, the most significant being...

• black and blue bruises
• a burning sensation lasting up to 20 minutes
• mild soreness lasting up to 5 days
• and there's always a risk of infection with any injection, but here's some good news...

...unlike surgery, mesotherapy is said to be virtually painless. The theory behind the 'painless' claim is that very small needles are used for the injections.

Speaking from personal experience, I've had small veins injected into one of my legs with micro needles and it wasn't painless.

It hurt like 'you know what'!

Of course having my veins done was certainly a different procedure than mesotherapy, but small needles being jabbed into your body must surely feel the same no matter what the purpose.

Just imagine 40 little stings on the back of your Mesotherapy - is it for me??! own leg, that's pretty much how it felt to me. On the up side, the pain from those tiny needles goes away pretty quickly.

What's more, with mesotherapy there are no heavy bandages, no supportive garments, and you can return to work with very little downtime.

Give It Some Careful Thought
Like any invasive procedure I'd give it some serious thought before I went ahead, I suggest you do the same.

I've given you an overview of the process but please, do your own research and reassure yourself that you know what the process is, what the risks are and have realistic expectations.

If you do decide to go ahead, good luck to you, and if you feel like sharing your experience, please let me know how you got on and I'll include it here at fabbutt.

Stay Happy and be fabulous!
